How to Apply

Your Steps to a Top US University
introduction

Your journey to a Top US University degree consists of three steps:
First, apply to our program using the application form below.
Next, you take 2 years of courses at one of our carefully selected partner colleges. We select colleges based on their ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for their students, as well as on their record of gaining admission for their students to the University of California system. Our preferred colleges are ranked highest in California in this regard. We provide close supervision and support to ensure that you satisfy the requirements for transfer to a top US university.
Finally, during the second year of our program, we help you choose the right future school and prepare your transfer application. Our students usually apply to at least four universities in the UC system, and at least four others.  After completing the 2-year program, you transfer to a top US university, where you study for 2 more years to complete your degree.

Application Requirements

In order to participate in our program, you must be at least 16 years old at the time of enrollment. You will also need:

  • A High School Diploma, if you will be younger than 18 years old when you enroll. Students who will be older than 18 at the time of enrollment do not need a high school diploma.
  • A High School Transcript for students under 18 years of age.
  • TOEFL: 61 or IELTS: 5.5 for direct admission to the academic program. If you have a lower or no TOEFL or IELTS score, you will receive an admission letter guaranteeing your place in the program after studying in our partner ESL program.
  • Proof of the ability to pay tuition and living expenses as required by the American government for issuing a student visa.
  • Photocopy of your passport.
  • Two passport-size photographs.
  • A completed application form for the Top US University program.
English Proficiency

In order to start taking classes immediately that count towards the degree, you need to demonstrate English proficiency.
You can demonstrate this in one of the following ways:

  • TOEFL IBT score of 61 or higher
  • IELTS score of 5.5 or higher
  • ITEP score of 3.5 or higher
  • ELS Language Centers Level 109
  • Transcripts showing 1 year of academic coursework taught in English with passing final grades: US school, IGCSE O or A level results, English medium school, IB diploma
No Proof of English Proficiency?

If you do not have a TOEFL or IELTS score, or if your score is too low, you can still enroll in the program, but you will have to take some English courses before you enroll in classes for academic credit. You will receive a formal letter guaranteeing that you can begin taking academic classes as soon as you demonstrate the required English proficiency.
We will assess your English ability once you arrive, and you will be placed in an English class suitable for your level. Each level class lasts two months, and most students should be able to complete the ESL training in two to six months. As soon as you demonstrate English proficiency, the TOEFL requirement will be waived (this means that you do not need to take the TOEFL or IELTS test) and you will be able to take classes that count towards your degree without waiting for the next semester to start.
